Greg LeFler Résumé
“In the world of construction, the role of the architect …..<is> to balance the conflicting needs of the builders, the engineers and the “client,” that is, the owner of the building. The architect is quite often the ultimate decision maker on a project, the person who is supposed to coordinate the aesthetic and practical needs of the owner with the practicalities and design criteria of the engineer, the builders and the local authorities. All within budget and all delivered on time.” Stimmel Law Corp, San Francisco emphasis added
With over 30 years of experience, Greg LeFler is a sought-after architect who’s professional practice saw award winning projects specializing in church design, performing art centres, College Campus and project master planning, as well as custom residential and commercial projects, both new construction and renovation. He is the principal architect and founder of LeFler and Associates for over 30 years, where he designed, built and / or consulted on almost 100 million dollars of construction across the country. With the economic downturn in 2008 he decided to enact the second phase of his career and took the opportunity to move to Northern Idaho and establish Daedalus Development LLC and D 2 ACAS (Daedalus Development Academy of Construction Arts and Science) a non profit where he will complete his life passion of educating trades and provide designs and solutions to housing issues in the area.
As a 1984 Dean's list graduate from the College of Architecture and Design at Kansas State University, Greg LeFler pursued a strong emphasis in Business Management and Computer Programming. After completing his college degree, he progressed quickly to Project Manager and CADD Systems Director during an 18-month stay at Dallas' Architectural Development Corporation. He then relocated to Southern California to manage the CADD Department at Hill Partnership and initiate a CADD system for Urrutia Associates in Palm Desert.
In 1988, Mr. LeFler started his own firm and for over 30 years has been providing his clients with the highest level of professional service. Mr. LeFler's design experience ranges from a variety of government, commercial, churches / performing art centres and custom estate homes. His work is consistently marked by his ability to effectively manage projects from concept through construction, and translate the client's expectations into reality. He has developed a reputation for tackling the odd projects that most wont touch.
In 2019 Mr. LeFler enacted his final plan for his career. He established Daedalus Development LLC and D2 ACAS (Daedalus Development Academy of Construction Arts and Science). Daedalus Development LLC is the continued architectural design services that he has always provided. D2 ACAS was created to share his experiences with architectural interns from universities across the country in an effort to help them bridge the gap between design and actual construction. They gain perspective on issues builders have with drawings not properly thought out and developed. Conversely it provides contractors an opportunity to gain perspective on what it takes to effectively assemble and utilize a set of architectural drawings that will ensure the client gets a design they want and need, and equally important, what they paid for.
Industry Ethics D2 ACAS will make an effort to correct what Mr. LeFler has seen as a steady decline in professional and trade ethics. Every decision should be weighed against the clients best interest, even if it affects the economic outcome.

Industry Leader
Mr. LeFler has never stopped going to school. His passion for learning extends beyond architecture and as such, uses his wide spectrum of experiences and knowledge to bring principals and procedures unique to other industries and integrates them into the design and construction of his projects. This approach makes his designs unique, efficient (to build and operate) and in his opinion, more fun.
Mr. LeFler stays on top of major issues affecting society and how will alter how architects design and builders construct their projects. Not only is he continuing to monitor the Covid-19 Pandemic, he is already developing ways to design homes that incorporate ways to isolate (whole house or single room) and protect your family without living in a fort. Mr. LeFler has worked with a security firm to develop a series of plans for everything from panic rooms to complete long term isolated living facilities. Utilizing that experience with current events develops new and unique "REAL" science based solutions to problems we have not had to deal with in the past.
Public Speaker
Mr. LeFler is a sought-out public speaker where he has delivered lectures to top architectural and engineering firms around the world on the integration of CADD technology into professional firms; he has lectured and participated in many round table discussions on church development to Pastors at KKLA Kingdom Builders conferences.
Author
Mr. Lefler was featured by Microstation trade magazine including cover photo for his creative use of the software. He lead the industry on the use of 3d design capabilities and spoke at professional conferences on that and similar topics.
He published a series of newsletters entitled “Growing Panes” which were distributed across California and were picked up by Christianity Today who commissioned Mr. LeFler to write three feature articles for their national magazine, “Your Church”.
Mr. LeFler self-published a book of the same name “Growing Panes” outlining what Churches and other non-profit entities can do to grow their operation, one brick at a time, which brick is best to use, how and when to use it, and do so without affecting ongoing operations. The book was offered at no charge to all current and prospective clients.
Community Service
Mr. LeFler firmly believes that a professional's responsibilities must reach beyond his business and gives back to the community. He taught at the Riverside Community College for several years, and has lectured at private, public, and professional functions throughout the country.

Mr. LeFler officially started D2ACAS (503.c in process) in 2020 to channel all his philanthropic projects through (CAPs)*. He provides heavily discounted prices for designing and or building additions, homes, decks etc. for good people that spent a life working in service industries (military, police, fire and teachers) and having an Architect design their dream home is not in the budget. He loves to share his abilities with good people that provided service to all of us and in a small way, say thank you, for their service.
“…money is not my measure of success, having made a positive difference in someone else’s life is the highest of commissions.”
